"A person's true life is not made up of the things he owns", says Jesus, but "being rich in the sight of God". Yet there are many people who make piling up riches their top priority even without regard to the means they take in the process, or the duty they have of sharing some of it with the less fortunate in material goods. God, out of His infinite bounty, freely gives us, rich and poor alike, a share in His own divine life to enable us to acquire spiritual riches and our priority should be to increase them while we journey through life. This is the fullness of life which Christ secured for us, through His death and resurrection, and which He dispenses freely to us by the Holy Spirit.

Lord, help me to respond to this free gift of true life in some small way by spiritual and corporal works of mercy freely performed for the benefit of others in a spirit of loving service. Amen.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
