Jesus gives new signs of His power related, this time, with His following. This new idea is about "the relationship between the signs and the prayer". "This kind of demons can come out only through prayer" (verse 29)

Prayer is a personal communication with the Father, as was Jesus' prayer, and it is obvious in the narrative which we read just before our Gospel today. We, Christians, as apostles should live in close communication with the Father through union with Christ. Through prayer we arrive to the union of wills: we accept the plan of the Father and the Father communicates to us his power, his mission to help and save others. Reading carefully the Gospel we can see how the ministry or work of Jesus is full of actions or signs of power; but also we may see that there are very many moments of prayer. So it should be in our Christian life: a combination of action and prayer.

Lord Jesus, help me to make my daily life, like Yours, a true combination of prayer and action.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the goods of the earth, given by God for all men, may be used wisely and according to criteria of justice and solidarity.
