The Gospel today presents to us a dramatic scene, full of tension and strength. The Pharisees were waiting to see whether Jesus would heal on the Sabbath and so accuse Him. But Jesus wants, above everything, to accomplish His mission and His doctrine is above the Sabbath. Besides, He places before His critics the problem to do or not do good to "save a life or to let him die." He answers with full openness: "to do good or evil?" Let us realize the feelings of Jesus: "Looking around at them with anger and grieved at their hardness of heart." His reaction is strong.

We also should react with the same sincerity and strength with which Jesus reacts: between doing good and doing evil, there is no middle way or position. Always and in all circumstances we have to do good.

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our heart like Yours.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the family may become more and more a place of training in charity, personal growth and transmission of the faith.
