Today's Gospel tells us how difficult it is to enter the Kingdom of God. Since that which God prepares for those who live according to His precepts is perfect, entering the Kingdom of God means striving for perfection. Our own life experiences teach us that the greatest moments of success and the joy that accompany it are always preceded by hard work, perseverance and sacrifices. All this is done, moreover, only for the sake of a few decades of life. Nevertheless, when it comes to the eternal joy of heaven, most of us will be reluctant to adjust to its demands. How unfortunate the sinner who looks in the eyes of our God, who has sent His only Son to die for us and elevate us to the eternal joy of Heaven! That is why, no matter how hard it is, we need to follow the discipline required of us in order to live truly in the joy of our Lord. As the Letter to the Hebrews (12:11) tells us: "No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."

Lord Jesus, may You grant us the grace to endure the pains and sacrifices that are so important for our daily growth in accordance with Your Kingdom.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
