People often say that only our hearts can see the truth. Many great people believe that our hearts are the most sacred place, and are often referred to as the place where the Lord dwells. However, we often silence the voice of hearts for our temporary benefits and personal interests. Initially, we feel we have gained so much when we give in to the temptations, such as power, money, reputation, etc., but very soon we are nagged by our hearts, tortured by the division within oneself, deprived of inner peace and tranquillity.

Why are our hearts so often blinded by our worldly desires and fleshly cravings? The reason is that when we are no longer in communication with the Divine, we lose the connection with the Lord who is the Truth, Love, and Life. If in our hearts there are no love, truth or life, surely what we see is not truth and love, but one's fleshly desires and lies. Therefore to retain the power, vision and function of one's heart, one needs to be constantly in connection with the Divine and love, to converse with the Lord on a daily basis.

Lord, please fill my heart with Your love and truth, so that I can see you in everything.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
