Today I would like to focus on the Gospel reading. First of all read it very carefully and pay attention to the main theme of Jesus' speech. Try to feel which word is speaking to you louder than the others. Observe your emotions and see what Jesus is telling you personally.

Basically Jesus is talking about witness; about being a witness, about giving witness, about believing the witness. In this passage we see how to recognize a true witness. Jesus says: "(…) the very work which I am now doing is a witness that the Father has sent me." (Jn 5:36) Witnessing is not about what you say, but about what you do. Try to think for a while about daily life, the place you work, the people you meet and ask yourself whether you are a good witness of Jesus Christ. How do you express your faith in Christ concretely?

The last point is this: "And still you have no desire to come to me so that you may have life."(Jn 5:40) This is something mysterious: some people, who know Jesus and what he has done, do not believe his witness. But there are also people, who believe him, desire to come to him and they have life.

Lord Jesus, may my life be a true witness to You.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That respect for nature may grow with the awareness that all creation is God's work entrusted to human responsibility.
