"Whenever the impure spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, ‘You are the Son of God’. But he gave them strict orders not to tell others about him." In all the miracles that Jesus performed, the most prominent virtue that He manifested and that He invites us to adopt in our daily life is that of humility. Whether we face failures or victories, praise or persecution, we are called to embrace life with humility. In the first reading, King Saul is a good example of human weakness in the face of humiliation. Even as he had gained enough praise for his victory at the battle, he was not satisfied that David was also celebrated and for this he wanted to kill him. In today’s society, individualism has led many people to pride, conceit or even hatred and persecution of others. The true path to salvation that Jesus invites us to take is that of doing the good and not seeking recognition. Are you satisfied with who you are and what you have just because you owe it to the cross of salvation? Then, do not fight for recognition but praise your Lord unceasingly!

Lord Jesus Christ, grant us, we pray, the grace of humility so that we may truly experience Your love.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
