Our generation is like that of Jesus. Jesus' generation did not accept John the Baptist because he was strange. They could not accept Jesus because he was normal. They were blind to the deeds of John and Jesus and deaf to their preaching and teaching.

Many of us, on many occasions, choose to sit back and do nothing in response to what we see and hear, whether it is peculiar, normal, or good. Worse, we jump to judgement and criticism, and content our minds and spirits with being gradually incapacitated in this vicious cycle of scepticism and judgemental attitudes.

Jesus says, "Yet wisdom is vindicated by her deeds." Let us be faithful witnesses to Jesus by our good deeds; and let us ask Jesus to help us see and appreciate others' humble efforts and good deeds, and be happy for those who have done good and received the good.

In the last analysis, we have no merit to plead our cause. Let us give glory to God for all the good done in the name of Jesus. Let us wait with patience and humility for Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

Lord Jesus, come to our aid with the protection of Your mercy.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
