Jesus associates his disciples in his missionary task, then as even now. He enables disciples to learn by doing. Jesus sent the first disciples to the "lost sheep of Israel." Today, disciples are sent to the 'lost', 'least', the little' ones in today's world: the marginalised people of our time, which includes all races and religions, and those without any religion! Preferential option for the poor is an indispensable part of the mission today in the Church, which Pope Francis describes as a "field hospital" where all sorts of wounded are seeking a healing touch.

The urgency of proclaiming the "Good News", of bringing the Father's love to everyone is even more urgent today than ever!. The mobility of today's missionary is as important as it was outlined by Jesus. Getting settled in an institutional service is always a temptation. Unless our needs remain 'minimum' Good News cannot be shared with others as a really free gift!

The credibility of our words and actions in spreading the Good News, is tied up with the simplicity of our life's needs, to be poor as Jesus was, who became poor for our sake.

In times of difficulty and darkness, Lord, teach us to wait in courage for Your coming; manifest Yourself in grace and help, consolation and peace.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the aged, marginalized, and those who have no one may find - even within the huge cities of the world - opportunities for encounter and solidarity.
