Jesus waits for God's time, even though he has only a short time left before he meets with his destiny...his betrayal, passion and death. He is confident that his Father is with him; "no one laid a hand on him" (7:30)

There are those who ask questions about his identity and these are sincerely searching for the truth; others think they already know all about him, and these certainly don't have faith in him or his mission from the Father. Each of us is left with the choice to keep asking questions about Jesus, or dismiss him as of no importance! The only answer Jesus gives about himself is: "I have not come of myself; I was sent by the One who is true, you don't know him; but I know Him."

How firm am I in my belief that I am a child of God; that I come from God (made in his image and likeness)? Most of the time I am not in tune with my identity as belonging to God; if I were I would not be afraid to stand for the truth, no matter what it costs. To arrive at genuine faith we need to refrain from discussion; rather we need to come to know the person of Jesus as much as we need to know our own trueself.

Lord, teach me Your ways; help me walk in Your path.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
