Today's readings highlight the paradox of life - after a mighty Exodus from Egypt, some of the Jews, who were expected to have an unshakable faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob failed miserably and were cursed. In the Gospel on the other hand, we read how a Canaanite woman, who was despised as an outcast, manifested immense faith in God. What we read in the Book of Numbers happened, not only in the time of Moses but happens today too.

As Christians, who have experienced the Resurrection of the Risen Lord, we presumably should be radiating that experience in manifold ways. The celebration of the Eucharist both recalls, and makes present for us once again the grace and joy of the Resurrection of Our Lord.

In order to radiate the joy of Easter truly, we need an Easter experience. Such an experience is only possible if we have a desire to enter the realm of mysticism and spirituality.

Lord, grant me an interior experience of You as my Saviour, to love You more dearly and follow You more closely.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
