Today is the last day of the liturgical year, so naturally, we reflect on end times. How do we prepare for the end? Do not let the worries of life paralyze us. Live with courage. Do not enter into drunkenness, avoid what numbs us to hearing God's voice.

We do not have to be afraid of the end. There are positive ways to prepare.

Jesus encourages us to pray. Ask the Lord to help you to be ready. If there is a worry on your mind, tell Jesus about it.

Jesus says more. Be alert. If you notice something in life that is unhealthy or draws you away from God, make a break with this. Such a change may be unpleasant or even painful, but the Lord will help us to be strong.

In this way, when Jesus comes again, we will not be ashamed, but rather, at peace with him.

On earth, kingdoms will rise and fall. There will be turmoil; people will even speak against God. Do not be afraid. In the end, the victory will be God's. God is the Most High and nothing can change this.

Today, Jesus is inviting us to be ready to meet him.

Lord, remove any darkness or worry from my heart. Prepare me. I want to be at peace with You.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the elderly, sustained by families and Christian communities, may apply their wisdom and experience to spreading the faith and forming the new generations.
