We all have talents. We may be able to think fast, to speak eloquently, to work things out creatively, or to act uprightly. The Lord sees all these and appreciates them. But he cares to teach us more, and that is, how to manage ourselves when we evangelise. He instructs the evangelists to be alert, to have vision but at the same time to be humble, to be good partners and to be respectful of themselves and of others.

Messengers do not need accessories to make them look good or sound good. The Good News they carry will speak for itself. So they only need to look out for one another on the way. They only need to be gracious in accepting hospitality, and to leave with dignity if they are not welcome. Jesus is asking his disciples to be their good selves and to depend on God's mercy when they evangelise. God will see to it that His work is done, and done well.

Lord, give me the grace to want to be sent, and to be prepared and ready when I hear You call.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
