As we enter into the celebration of the Holy Week, the Scripture texts help us to remember and accompany Jesus in His last journey on earth. The contemplation of this journey of His Passion and Death draws us closer to Jesus in His suffering and pain that ended in the horror of the Cross! Yet ultimately, we believe in His Resurrection!

Phil 2: 6-11 is a significant New Testament passage. Meditating on this text leads us to the depth of Jesus' Incarnation, His total obedience to the will of God that ended on the Cross. We often cannot comprehend this altruistic love, but to be graced to experience glimpses of this unconditional love of God in Jesus. The essence of self-renunciation, utter humility and obedience unto death are the supreme characteristics of the life of Jesus; thus, this must be the hallmark of our Christian Discipleship. Yet we often give in to our selfishness and self-seeking glorification, which takes us away from our commitment to serving others with the Love of Christ in today's world.

With Isaiah 50: 4-7, we allow these words to guide us as we begin each day "... every morning, He makes me eager to hear what He is going to teach me...." (v.4) and "I embrace myself to endure all hardships because the Lord has given me help." (v.7)

Together with the whole Church, we are called to accompany Jesus this Holy Week in Jesus' Passion, Death and Resurrection on Easter Sunday!

Lord, lead and guide us in Your ways.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
