Take time to read the few verses of 1 Cor 15 which are the first creed of the Church. It is very simple, concentrating on the fact that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead, appearing to many of His followers. No fancy theology, no book of rules - just the brute fact that Jesus is our saviour. So, Paul must have been taught by the Apostles, and urged his community to remain rooted in this belief and not to wander away or be distracted. We should remind ourselves each day of who Jesus is for us and the salvation in which we hope.
The three key words are commonly used in the daily affairs of the people - way, truth and life. However, Jesus used them to profoundly point to a deeper connection, God the Father. And Jesus insisted that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life - and no one comes to the Father except through Him. We need not interpret this in a narrow or exclusive way. He is the 'way' - the spiritual path; He is the truth - He reveals God as God really is; and His is the life - giving life to all who approach Him in faith and love. There is enough for everyone. Jesus has established the divine pattern to which all humans must conform - humble love and service, and obedience to the Will of God. This is the royal highway to God, open to all.
Lord Jesus, lead me to live the creed handed to us by Your Apostles.
