What do we celebrate on Christ the King Sunday? Of course, Christ as King of the Universe. But what kind of a king is Jesus? Christ is a king Who has risen to new life and has conquered death. He has authority and power as a king should (1 Cor 15:24). However, Christ is also a shepherd Who is concerned about His sheep. He actively looks for the lost sheep. Christ has a special care for the fragile. He helps the injured to heal and gives strength to the weak (Ez 34:16). He truly loves His sheep. Today we can linger in this love.

Christ the King also invites us to share His love with others. In Matthew's final judgement, the people who go to hell do not necessarily kill or steal. What is their fault? They do not act with compassion towards the weak. The people who receive eternal happiness do not solve all of the world's problems, but they act with compassion and care towards someone who is suffering (Mt 25:35).

On this Sunday, we praise Christ the King. We approach Jesus in our fragility and ask for His healing. We can also make a small gesture of compassion to someone who is suffering.

Christ, You are my king. Thank you for loving me. Give me courage to reach out in love to someone who is in pain. Help me be Christ to them.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer you everything I do this day. I offer you my prayers, thoughts, words, joys and sufferings in union with the Eucharistic sacrifice of your Son Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit who guided and empowered Jesus be my guide and strength so that I can be a witness to your love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
Let us pray for the proper use of wealth, that, without succumbing to the temptation of selfishness, it may always be put at the service of the common good and in solidarity with those who have less.
