There are three central themes in today's first reading: humility, watchfulness and hopeful endurance. Being humble is not self-degradation; it is being dependent on God, in choosing gentleness and being open to God's grace. At the same time, we are called to be alert, not to be afraid of the devil, but to be firm in our faith in God. This leads to the third theme - of hopeful endurance, as suffering is not the end of the story. Suffering is real but God's restoration is also real and eternal.

With that, we can indeed "go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News to all creation" as the first disciples did, inviting people to believe in God and salvation. Ultimately it is an act of love while offering the hope that we ourselves have received. This is not human effort alone, but through divine partnership that the Holy Spirit walks with us. The emphasis is not on chasing signs, but on trusting the God Who works through His people in powerful and sometimes surprising ways.

Let us today then be humble and rely more on God's presence in our mission and daily life. Let us be watchful too while waiting with hope and great endurance.

Lord, grant me the strength to be humble with hopeful endurance and open to Your presence in my mission and daily life.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day jul be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
For priests in crisis.
Let us pray for priests going through moments of crisis in their vocation, that they may find the accompaniment they need and that communities may support them with understanding and prayer.
