In the fading days of the liturgical year, we hear Jesus speak, in Luke's Gospel, of the fig tree and the coming of the Kingdom, which is obvious if we pay attention to our surroundings. He has words of hope for us despite of our inattention. The world around us is transient - its glories fade, its structures crumble, and its anxieties are temporary - but His words will not pass away - the Word of God is eternal. At the same time, the Book of Revelation reveals the glorious outcome of our fidelity. John sees a new heaven and earth after all the turmoil. This is our final destiny. This is what we are living for, even though now everything seems difficult.

How, then, do we live a good and committed Christian life? We live it with our eyes fixed on that horizon. We do not let the passing troubles of this world paralyse us. Instead, we root ourselves daily in Christ's enduring words through prayer and Scripture. We reject the "beast" of worldly values - greed, selfishness, and pride - and choose to live as witnesses to the Lamb. Our commitment is not a grim duty but a joyful preparation. Every act of kindness, every sacrifice for love, every moment of forgiveness is a preparation for the final destiny. Live today not for what is passing, but for what is eternal. Your fidelity is not in vain; it is the very fabric of God's eternal reign.

Lord Jesus, I rely on Your words.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer you everything I do this day. I offer you my prayers, thoughts, words, joys and sufferings in union with the Eucharistic sacrifice of your Son Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit who guided and empowered Jesus be my guide and strength so that I can be a witness to your love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
Let us pray for the proper use of wealth, that, without succumbing to the temptation of selfishness, it may always be put at the service of the common good and in solidarity with those who have less.
