讓我們看看梵二禮儀憲章的第五十四條：
「54. In Masses which are celebrated with the people, a suitable place may be allotted to their mother tongue. This is to apply in the first place to the readings and "the common prayer," but also, as local conditions may warrant, to those parts which pertain to the people, according to tho norm laid down in Art. 36 of this Constitution.
Nevertheless steps should be taken so that the faithful may also be able to say or to sing together in Latin those parts of the Ordinary of the Mass which pertain to them.
And wherever a more extended use of the mother tongue within the Mass appears desirable, the regulation laid down in Art. 40 of this Constitution is to be observed.」
其實只要看一看梵二和梵二後教會的禮儀文件，就會發現：禮儀改革當中，仍有許多未能兌現的地方。同志們仍須努力啊！

some familiar pieces of the mass ordinary
in our OWN parish!
But I don't know how long must we wait for that
to realize.

我時常想，教會對自身成員文化薰陶的不重視，竟可以到達這種地步。相信每個群體都會希望自己的成員能有一點點文化歷史上的「根」。
是以，小學的老師會希望我們多背兩首唐詩、中學的老師會要我們曉讀文言文；反映在信仰生活中，佛教的不少知識份子會看梵文、基督教很多弟兄學習希伯來文和希臘文。但這種情操在香港的天主教會，則如鳳毛麟角了。
是否因為我們的信仰傳統「浩如煙海」，令有志者望洋生畏？

I only heard ONCE in St. Margaret's Parish's celebration of Mass for Confirmation some years ago, where "Panis Angelicus" was sung.
順帶一提，在香港的東正教會禮儀，雖也是說英語，但主禮和平信徒都是用希臘語誦念天主經的。

Langauge is not important, if those present still participate - what about those "tongues" prayer?
Well, Fr. P. Leung is quite keen on Latin hymns. Probably he will bring this along to Tornoto with him? We will miss Fr. Leung for sure.

聖樂委員會和聖神修院都有.思高曾經有(梁神父在生時).
坊間有無我就唔知.
也可找退休了的神父私下補習.

但以我所知,聖樂委員會是以聖樂為主的,而聖神修院又不可能只報拉丁文課程,我想現在要找一個退左休又識拉丁文的神父那處學啦!!哪位神父呢,有乜好提議呀???

Paul-你去聖瑪加利大堂問下黃勇牧神父得唔得閑教你啦!他快九十了,不能開彌撒和周圍去,教不教,看你的造化了。

其實坊間亦有不少自助書藉是教拉丁語的。你可以到商務印書館逛一逛呢！

當然,有人教總好過買書自學,不過,本人都知道黃神父的拉丁文非常了得,但他的身體亦不算太好,應作更多休息.或許再尋找其他合適人選罷了!!!

在教師不易找的當兒，我們就更應審慎地評估學拉丁語的目的，以及所需要付出的時間、心機和金錢。有時發覺代價太大時，往往會令人望而卻步。
不過，其實拉丁語亦不難自學。因為拉丁語的拼音，就像意大利文和西班牙文一樣，是固定的；而它的文法和詞彙，則可從書中學到。若果你想增進一下聆聽能力的話，亦可弄一些拉丁語的古典音樂唱片來，亦很不錯呢。

對於聖樂有興趣的更加會對這方面留心。許多著名的聖歌是拉丁文的 - Panis Angelicus, Agnus Dei, Ave Maria, Donna Nobis Pacem,...
