可以,那只是那位神父自己的意見吧了.他有何權威確定那是"必要"的呢? 選經原則可參彌撒經書總論及彌撒讀經總論.

CC姐,這其實是禮儀問題,不是聖經問題.
妳可叫那位神父去看看ordo,今年是在第76頁,"Enuntiande sunt saltem tres lectiones Veteris Testamenti, st in casibus urgentioribus duae, NUMQUAM vero omittenda est lectio libri Exodi (3l)."
雖然如此,但我也去過堂區無讀那篇聖經.(本堂神父可能看不懂拉丁,說笑吧了,那是有譯文的)
我也去過一次讀晒七篇舊約的.
你是讀經組組長,應知甚麼是ordo吧?

Sorry, I only know 'hazily' what the 'ordo' is, that is why bro. Ngshunchiu is that 'Ng Shun"!
However, I went to Vatican's site and found that in recent years at St Peter's in Vatican, for Easter Vigil they only read 4 OT passages to commemorate the 4 'nights' - night of the creation, night of Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac, night of the exodus, and the night of the coming of the Messiah (Ezekiel).
It would be great to read all 7, though I am afraid I will not succeed if I propose this at the meeting tonight.

靚仔兄所說的ordo，大概就是教會每年所出版的禮儀曆書。當中多是說明彌撒和日課禮儀的一些具體「執行」措施。基本上是提示神父和修道人士，某月某日，要翻查和誦唸彌撒和日課經書的哪些部分、哪些彌撒在某天可否舉行等等。
該書的全稱是：《Ordo Missae celebrandae et Divini Officii persolvendi secundum calendarium romanum generale pro anno liturgico 2001-2002》。此書今年是黃色封面，公進社有售。
說來也有趣，中學時代做輔祭，ordo在祭衣室中，可說是禮儀書中的一大「奧秘」。不知怎的，小弟為要搞清楚這本書的意思，才去學拉丁文的。有時天主的計劃真奇妙得很。

是的，該本書的確是拉丁文。小弟在菲律賓曾見過英文的譯本，但不知在香港是否有售。台灣可能也出中譯本吧。

是的香港出版的該書是拉丁的,就連訂購表都是拉丁我也覺得有些搞笑,但此書不只供內銷, 據知大陸有很多神父訂購.
我在美國及菲律賓也見過當地出的英文版,但因當地的禮儀年曆和本港有些微差別,所以買回港也未必合用如施施姐有興趣,我下兩月到菲律賓讀書時可以買本給妳.
原則上,每個堂區的祭衣房都應有一本的, 就像從前家中的通勝, 你看不看得懂就貴客自理了.

The English internet resources on Catholic issues are mainly from the U.S. - the Chinese resources leave much to be enriched.
