I was watching CNN the other day and the boss of the above magazine and paper mentioned he's catholic.

Well then he must be keeping his business practices and religious beflief quite separately!

Yes.

Quite so. And ourselves too.

And quite surprised to see him admitting proudly to be a catholic, yet feeling totally satisfied with his businesses and what he had done to the local culture! Demand and supply rules over morality!

There was an article in the book that I mentioned before "Saints and Sinners" about an American State Governor of Italian origin, who claimed at the same time to be a devout Catholic and who ran for elections. He solicited support from the aetheist Americans who are all for abortion. So this famous (or infamous) governor supported abortion "for the Americans in general". Well, he felt that he could be a Catholic by himself alone, and did not practise abortion within his own family.
Very though-provoking to us Catholics. What about soccer betting? Are you standing on similar grounds as this Governor?

Thats the way to go for most faithfuls. Typically people dont think (care) much about the content of their belief particularly when business is concerned. Govt officials, politicians, businessmen alike.
