I was wondering how come people can complain against noise pollution to the police if there is church congregation nearby to the places they live.
If you live near the Stadium, you can control the programme timing via the District Councils. For schools and churches, what can you do to effectively curb their activities? They are already there in the first place. Unless they make noises after 11 p.m., I just couldn't understand why the police should take heed of those 'complaints'.

Well, if people can complain about the mentally handicapped passing by their front door, they can of course complain about church goers singing hallelujah.

Dear Steve and Handsome Guy,
The 'noise' complained of here wasn't the singing - it was the horn sounding from the Church car park.
I think for those vehicles getting in, if they sound their horns, they would still be outside the church area. For those inside pressing to get out quickly, if they sound their horns, it is more doubtful.
If I move my car out of my own car park at home and there was other vehicles blocking my way and I sound my car horn, would the police give me a piece of 'dry beef'? The case here was (actually quite funny), the police gave the dry beef to the priest in charge.

Ask father go to the court and plea not guilty la.
The ticket should go for the driver, or even the car owner, but I don't see why it should go to the priest.
Btw, why they "must" drive to church, I think if people are not company with elderly or handicap, they should not drive to your parish.

And 'face'(prestige) and pomp.
That also explains why some abnormal (luckily not all)rich people like to be 'benefitors'in a way so as to monopolize even church services.
The car park incidents are real shames. Actually, the more 'well-behaved' richer guys in my Parish drive to Wah Yan on Sundays, where there are lots of parking spaces.(So do the Bow Tie brothers, M. Suen, M. Lee, and a number of other senior officials or politicians). Some also go to Rosary Hill.
