In dealing allegations of sexual abuse
U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops
June 1992
Respond promptly to all allegations of abuse where there is reasonable belief that abuse has occurred.
If such an allegation is supported by sufficient evidence, relieve the alleged offender promptly of his ministerial duties and refer him for appropriate medical evaluation and intervention.
Comply with the obligations of civil law as regards reporting of the incident and cooperating with the investigation.
Reach out to the victims and their families and communicate sincere commitment to their spiritual and emotional well-being.
Within the confines of respect for privacy of the individuals involved,
deal as openly as possible with the members of the community.

"也介紹一本"雞精"書給對"關社"感興趣的弟兄姊妹 - "Saints and Sinners, the American Catholic Experience through stories, memoirs ,essays and commentary", 1st Ed. Oct. 1999, Doubleday 出版。他們的經驗足以我們借鏡，其中亦有不少天主教中人作為"少數"社團(美國是基督教,猶太教的社會)的親身體驗,很得意的。(坊間如無,可到"book of the month club"購買) "
前年的貼文 - 當中從"THE GIFT OF ＰＥＡＣＥ”一書中選了一篇ＣＡＲＤ． ＢＥＲＮＡＲＤＩＮ （ＣＨＩＣＡＧＯ）的文章，"Facing False Charges"，很值得一看，當然，不是說今次的指控是假的，但對於沒有做錯事的神職而言，ＢＥＲＮＡＲＤＩＮ的經驗是很具參考價值的。

The US is basically (Fundamentalist)Protestant I have heard, but Judaic?? I think the Freemasons and New Age
should get a big seat too.

The New Age Movement has gained huge grounds in the USA.

But the New Age is so diverse among them that
it is hard to categorizes them all at the same time,
in fact the essence of New Age is
supermarket / buffet of religions or rather religious experience,
its VERY essence is diversity and individuality.
That is unlike the Freemasons who are so centralized, and whose aim is so straight-forward.

This is very much alive in HK too - those shops selling crystal balls, ornaments for both sexes, CDs, making profits out of people's ignorance.
