Jesus said to Mary Magdalene, "Go and find the brothers - tell them that I have risen, and I am ascending to my Father, and your Father, my God and your God". This is the mission of each one of us - to go and tell our neighbour, all human kind, that Christ has died to save us, that He has risen in triumph over death, that He is with us all during our life and that He will come again to bring us to the Father. The risen Jesus sends the Holy Spirit on all His disciples so that they may be able to fulfil this commission.

Mary Magdalene, Mary the sinner, out of whom Jesus had banished seven devils, was privileged to encounter the risen Lord. She who stood by the Cross witnessed the glory of the resurrection. She who came to minister to the dead Jesus was sent to proclaim that the Lord was risen. The Lord Himself called Mary by name and sent her to summon the apostles. In a sense the woman who was a sinner became the first apostle. All of us, men and women, in all our sinfulness, share in her apostolate.

Lord, help me to fulfil the mission You have entrusted to me, of proclaiming Your love.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
