After his forty days in the presence of God, Moses' face reflected the glory of God whom he had been privileged to see. Moses was so affected by what he saw that his face became radiant. Sometimes when two people are deeply in love, their love is apparent in a glow on their faces. Something like that happened to Moses.

It is impossible for us to imagine how awesomely beautiful and wonderful God really is. Some theologians refer to heaven as a beatific vision, a vision which brings unspeakable happiness.

The words of Jesus in the Gospel about the reign of God, His kingdom, can rightly be applied to God Himself. God is a treasure so precious that no sacrifice is too great to make in order to enter into His presence. God is a pearl so beautiful that we should gladly leave behind all other attractions so that we may absorbed by His splendor.

Heaven is still before us. Continue on we must in this present life until God calls us to Himself. But all the while we should go about our ordinary occupations with a glow, if not on our faces, then in our hearts. This glow is the reflection of our faith that our God is a God of beauty and wonder, our treasure and our joy.

Lord, let the glow of Your life be seen in me.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
