Today's readings are saying that, on the one hand, it is not easy to be a follower of Jesus and, at the same time, it is really very easy. Jesus was a kind of superstar because of all the healings He was doing for people. Big crowds followed Him but He warned them that following Him meant being ready to go all the way with Him, yes, even to being ready to die with Him and for Him. It was not enough just to be a 'fan'. At the same time, in order to be a true disciple all that is needed is that I love every single person unconditionally, that is, to want and to work for their well-being at all times. No truly loving act can ever be sinful. If I can keep that in mind, everything else will fall into place.

Teach me, Lord, to love You and others in the way You love me.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the Christians of the West, may constantly increase their knowledge and appreciation of the spirituality and liturgical traditions of the Oriental Churches.
