INTENTION : That young people may follow Christ, the way, the truth, the life
with generous enthusiasm and be ready to bear witness to him
in all the situations in which they live.

The Acts of the Apostles narrates the story of early evangelization. It is one of the great adventures undertaken by the apostles for the purpose of preaching the Good News of Jesus. It was not only sensational but was filled with stories that are sometimes amusing, sometimes really dangerous and sometimes filled with great emotions and obstacles.

The feat has been repeated in every age in the history of the Church. "Today is not the time to hide the Gospel, but to preach it on the rooftops", said the Holy Father in a message to youth recently. Hence new evangelizers have come forward to bring the truth to all men and women. Though the content of evangelization has not changed, the form of evangelizing had to adapt to newer habits, knowledge, advancements, problems and characteristics of each changing age.

Today's evangelization is characterised by the promotion of personal relationship with Christ with personal acts of faith born out of a responsibility to one's conscience. Furthermore, the importance of living by faith and truth in solidarity with all men and women through love take precedence over innumerable pious exercises and memorization of doctrinal knowledge.
