God's home is in inaccessible light. One with a vague religious belief might be rather disillusioned by the notion that the light is inaccessible. But Christian faith rejoices that God's dwelling place is light, for then God is light for us. God is a mystery, but our faith consoles us with the knowledge that our God is a mystery revealed. Indeed, God is more than revealed: He was incarnate amongst us in Jesus and now, by the truth to which Jesus witnessed through His death, we have been brought into intimate relationship with the inaccessible God.

God is the source of all life, especially of the divine life by which we have become children of the Father in union with Jesus. Nature provides many parables of life in its fullest sense. The Letter to Timothy reminds us of our duty to do all that we have been told to. The Gospel expresses this same duty as nurturing the word of God sown like a living seed in the field of our hearts: we must cherish the divine life within us.

Lord, may we learn to listen to Your Word with our hearts and minds so that our lives may bear fruit that will last. May the word You sow within us daily mould us to Your image and likeness.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
