Easter is the heart of our faith. As St Paul says, if Jesus did not rise to new life, we Christians are the people most to be pitied. No one saw Jesus rising but it was the utter conviction of his closest followers that he was alive. So much so, that their own lives were completely transformed. At the crucifixion they were terrified but only a few days later, they were filled with the Spirit of their Risen Lord and nothing could stop them sharing the Good News about Jesus to the whole world. Many of them would unhesitatingly show the greatest love one can show, by giving their lives for the Lord they loved and for their brothers and sisters everywhere. We too need to share with others what Jesus means to us and invite them to experience his love for them.

We pray that our lives may be renewed by the Spirit of the Risen Lord that is within us.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
