Jesus accuses the people of looking for more signs and wonders like the feeding of the 5,000. They missed the real meaning of what He had done, namely, that He is the source of real life and not just of material food. "Work for the food that endures to life without end," He tells them. And they ask what that is. "This is working for God: you must believe in the one he has sent." To 'believe in' Jesus is not just to recite a Creed or some other formula. To believe in Jesus is to identify totally with His Way. He is the Way; He is Truth and Life. We believe in Him when we see life the way He sees it, when we love others as He did, even giving His life, and when we work with Him to make our world a place of Truth and Justice and truly a united family of brothers and sisters under God.

Lord, I want to believe in Your Way and to follow it with all my heart and soul.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
