There are times in our lives when nothing seems to be going right for us. We may be faced with the death of a loved one, we ourselves may be very ill, we may have been made redundant in our job, and all manner of things may be going wrong in our lives. It is in times like these that the words of Matthew's gospel are so reassuring. Jesus will never abandon us if we ask for His help. There is a saying "No prayer is ever lost". It seems sometimes that our prayers are falling on deaf ears and that Jesus is not listening to us. But then we find that our life has taken a different turn and we have been blessed in so many unforeseen ways. It is then that we realize that Jesus has been very close to us all the time in our times of trouble and has been empathizing with us. Just as He continually assisted people when He was a man here on earth so He helps people today. All things are possible with Jesus and it is a matter of having faith that our prayers will be answered. Jesus will never leave us alone. Our prayers are answered in Jesus' own way and at a time when He is ready.

Lord, may I experience Your healing in my life.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
