Walking with Jesus on our journey home is a process that takes time. To be home does not happen just like that. Certainly not with a twinkle of an eye or a snap of the fingers. It calls for a continued conversion, a return towards home. At many points we are going to feel "it's a long, long journey" and we wonder if we can ever make it. Jesus understands all this and so He tells us not to give up. He says, His spirit, the helper will come and help us. The spirit will reveal the truth (Jn. 15:26).

However, with this assurance He also warns us that a time will come when we will be expelled (Jn. 16:2-4). How do we live this warning and this assurance? In order not to despair we have to know what truth is and where it dwells. Truth is the person of Jesus and His Spirit dwells within us. Did He not tell us that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit! So in frightening times, amidst pain, confusion and fear we must therefore learn to go inward and be still and there listen to the voice of the Spirit revealing the truth to us and the Truth.

"Be still, and know that I am God."

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
