We are entering the last weeks of the Church year and, as usual, we are invited to think about the end times. The idea of the Temple in Jerusalem being left without a stone on a stone must have been as unthinkable as the two skyscrapers of the World Trade Centre collapsing into a pile of rubble. For some it was the end of the world but it was not and there will be many more such disasters. Jesus warns us also not to be surprised that as followers of the Gospel we may be attacked. Strange as it may seem, many hate the message of truth and love that we preach and try to live by. None of these things must be allowed to turn us away from the way of life in Christ as we know it is the right way to live, or from the mission that each one of us has, to make the Kingdom a reality.

Stay awake, praying at all times!

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That Christian men and women, aware of the vocation which is theirs in the Church, may answer generously to God's call to seek holiness in the midst of their lives.
