How To Pray With Shalom

Jesus calls on us today to be people of integrity. It is our inner spirit, our inner attitudes which are the real measure of our closeness to God and Jesus. We can very often hide our real selves from others over a long period of time but we cannot hide from God who knows the heart. All of us have parts of our life which we would not like other people, even those close to us, to see or be aware of. But, as Jesus says, the bad tree cannot produce good fruit. And, if our lives are built on just an outer veneer, we are like the house on sand. Eventually, there will be a collapse. Transparency is a beautiful gift to have, where what people see is all that there is. Let us pray that we too may work towards that total openness so that what we think, say and do are always full of truth and sincerity.

Let us walk the Way of Jesus, the Way of Truth and Life.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
