We are here to make God known and loved. That is His purpose and that is our task. Why? Because we are His chosen people. He chose us to know Him and to know Him is to understand how much He loves us and how good that is. So we want to share the Good News with other, to increase the tent and to make His kingdom grow. It is also a way of reciprocating the One who has first loved us, not casually but with the total self-emptying of His whole and very life.

However, sometimes in our attempts we will be rejected and we can get discouraged. These are the times when we must realize that discouragement is a tool of the evil one and draw courage instead from the Word, "The stone which the builders rejected as worthless turned out to be the most important of all".

In the Gospel Jesus said, "Now that you have known me you will know the Father." Do we realize that no man can live as an island? We need another to know the self. It is indeed only through the context of a relationship that we discover one another's identity. We are the mirrors that show up the face of one another's soul. Let us therefore be mirrors that do not wrongfully distort.

Lord, thank You for Your love. May we who have tasted it make Your kingdom grow.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That Christians may live their Sundays more truly as days of the Lord dedicated in a special way to God and their neighbour.
