Yesterday we were told that (the first condition) to walk in the light is to break with sin. Today we are encouraged to keep the commandments especially that of love, as a second condition. It is hard to forgive and love those who have hurt us. It is hard to continue loving someone who does not respond to our love and kindness. It may be hard but it is not impossible. For when Christ tells us to love our enemies, He gives, along with the command, love itself. The love of Christ is all encompassing and unconditional; it is not lustful or selfish. The love of Christ is perfect love that heals all hurts and mends all brokenness.

Let us pray today for this love to grow in us, to help us relate to those we come into contact with everyday, at work, during lunch-break, at the bus-stop, in the market, in church, at play. Let the example of our lives be a revelation for these people we meet, always remembering that we are the mirror of the light and not the source of it.

Lord, You are the source of my life and You light up my life.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That the dignity of men and women according to the creator's plan may be ever more deeply understood.
