Responding to God's love is not always an easy thing to do. From their past experience, the Hebrews knew well the difficulties that went with responding to God in faith. Responding to God can bring about radical changes in our style of living; challenge our certainties; shift us out of our set roles in life causing discomfort and even pain. With this in mind, the author exhorts us not to 'draw back' from our initial response to God. He tells us to be as 'confident now' in God's power to save as we were when we first made a conscious response to Him. Jesus thus, explains the gracious beginning and inexorable development of the kingdom of God. The kingdom is none other than the seed of God's liberating love planted in human hearts by Jesus. This love grows silently. If given the chance it will relentlessly change the face of the earth. Furthermore, Jesus assures us that the power of this love will spread to such an extent that even the most lost and vunerable of humankind will find shelter in its shade. May we be open to receive the transforming seed of God's kingdom today and every day of our lives.

Lord, let Your World be a strength at all times in my life and bring peace to others as well.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
