When Jacob died, Joseph's brothers feared that he was going to take revenge on them because they had sold him into slavery. But Joseph was a man of God reflecting his goodness and generosity. He forgave them and explained that their malice fitted into God's plan.

In the Gospel, in a most gentle way Jesus illustrates the fatherly care of God. Yes, God loves, we are precious to Him. He guides all things according to His purpose for He knows what is best for us. No matter what happens we cannot drift beyond the love and care of God. Even our experience of rejection falls within God's loving plan.

As followers of Christ we are told not to fear or flinch at the cost of discipleship. We are entrusted to continue Jesus' mission of love and healing with courage - to be an instrument of God's love to others. All we need is to have complete trust in God and in His loving plan. Having unwavering faith in Jesus and the Father drives out fear! Therefore let us submit to the authority of God's Word, trust in His decisions and justice because God will sustain us. We are never away from His presence, care and concern.

Father God, we are grateful for Your love and attentive care and concern for us. Our faith is in You. Amen.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
