We all know Thomas as the one who refused to believe that Jesus had risen from the dead unless he personally was able to touch the Risen Body and feel the wounds. Something which Jesus invited him to do when he next was among his disciples. Thomas' response is total. He not only recognises that the man in front of him is the Jesus he always knew but he falls on his knees and makes a statement which goes far beyond what his human eyes could see: "My Lord and my God!" he proclaims. It is a statement of deep faith. He is the only person in the Gospel who calls Jesus God.

We can also thank Thomas for eliciting from Jesus one of his most beautiful statements. Having complained that he did not know where Jesus was going and thus could not know the way, Jesus gently replied: "I am the WAY, I am Truth and Life."

Let us today renew our faith in Jesus as our Lord and God and commit ourselves to following His Way.

Strong is His love for us; He is faithful for ever.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That all those who are in prison, and especially young people, may receive the necessary support from society to help them rediscover meaning in their lives.
