Our initiation through baptism into the Paschal mystery of Christ unites us with the Father, the Son and the Spirit. By the creative presence of the Father, we become children with the right to be able to pray "Our Father". By the redemptive presence of Christ, we pass over from death to life, and in Him become a new creature. By the sanctifying presence of the Spirit, we are made holy to join God's holy people.

In other words, the new relationship with God gained through baptism brings with it many profound and liberating consolations. These consolations probably touch us most when we have become aware of them through the simple expressions of daily living. This is all the more true when we can turn to the simple and profound words of Jesus for enlightenment, realizing that what Jesus says about Himself is said also as a promise for us. If Jesus experienced that He was never alone but always had the Father with Him, this is true of us who have been baptized into union with Him. No longer need we ever feel abandoned in life, for God the Holy Trinity dwells in us. This is the wonder of God in us!

Father in Heaven, draw us to Yourself, so that like Jesus we may always experience Your loving presence, and so be set free from all loneliness, grief and fear.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
