The Father loves you with a providing love. Jesus reminds us of the caring, providing love of the Father for us, then He reminds us "stop worrying". As we contemplate our loving Abba's providential care and concern for us, that He knows of every hair on our heads, then we will begin to form an attitude of trust and confidence. Gradually we will be able to let go, and accept willingly and completely whatever plans God has for us. This transformation will dispel all undue fear, worry and anxiety from our hearts. Then "why are you transgressing the Lord's commands, so that you cannot prosper?" (2 Chr. 24:20).

Every breath is another expression of God's providential love. Life itself is a free gift from our Father. He wants us to enjoy every minute of it, so filled with His countless blessings.

The all-important moment in our lives which is precious to God is the present moment. Jesus advises us not to worry, but to trust.

"O weak of faith" (Mt. 6:31), "Your heavenly Father knows all your needs" (Mt. 6:31). How important to Jesus was the faith of His followers. He registered disappointment at the lack of faith but was visibly pleased when He found it. Listen to Jesus say "Have faith in God, have faith in Me" (Jn. 14:1). "Your faith has restored you to health" (Mt. 9:22).

Father, I place myself totally in Your hands, knowing that Your love will care for me every moment of the day. Amen.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That all Christians may cultivate a deep and personal friendship with Christ, in order to be able to communicate the strength of his love to every person they meet.
