If the need at a particular moment is to go through the way of the Cross and to give one's life, what is to be done is to entrust oneself to the Divine Mystery, hoping that this sacrifice will not be wasted by God. He will not for we are very precious in his eyes. Does he not 'hold us in the palm of his hand?' And he will not forget us even if a mother were to forget the child of her womb.

A genuine experience of God gives us a deep security based on the realization that our mortal life is floating in the waters of eternal life. This security enables us to take risks for a cause, even fatal ones with the awareness that whatever may happen to us, we will not be away from the gambit of God's everlasting love.

So we begin to realize that for fear of losing our life, betraying our mission is useless.

With such an awareness we can say with the Prophet Isaiah, "Here am I Lord, send me!"

Let us pray that our actions, made in the deepest recesses of our hearts are based on Gospel values and concrete situations.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
