Paul calls on us to live a life worthy of our vocation. Our response to this call, again in Paul's words, would be bearing with each other lovingly. Loving concern for each other is a practical fruit of the presence of the Holy Spirit amongst us. Such a loving concern will engender within our communities and Church a divine peace. That peace will be a great binding force drawing us through our baptism into one faith together under one Lord.

Jesus challenges us to interpret the signs of the times, and His call was renewed in the Vatican Council. In the light of this challenge let us remember that, as Pope Paul VI once affirmed, "Justice is the new name for peace." If we are truly enlivened by a loving concern for each other, even within the narrow confines of our local community, we will begin to live that divine peace which allows us to judge for ourselves what is just.

If, however, the only justice which we know and practice is the justice of a civil legal system, then, Jesus tells us, we must live with the consequences. Christians, however, should live out of a deeper justice, peace and mutual concern.

Lord, we pray that as we change, we may become more and more like You.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That Catholic Universities may more and more be places where, in the light of the Gospel, it is possible to experience the harmonious unity existing between faith and reason.
