"Whoever lives by the truth comes into the light" (Jn 3:21). In the reading from the Acts of the Apostles we see how the Apostles, filled with fire to preach the Good News of Christ's resurrection, break through even the strong walls of the prison and go on to make the Sanhedrin defenceless because of their conviction of Our Lord's salvific mystery.

Christ's death and resurrection showed to the world that, to Our Lord Jesus, nothing is invincible, not even death. If even death could not conquer the person of Christ, what else could? In a world which is looking for hope, when crime, war and avarice for material possessions appear to win over the power of love, God invites us to be counter-witnesses. God inspires us to brighten up the life of those living in darkness and to give hope to the hopeless.

Lord, help us become messengers of peace, to bring forgiveness where there is hatred, to spread love where there is none!

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
