Our Church gives us the examples of many saints and martyrs, in order to encourage and motivate us. Our Church grew on the blood of martyrs like St Lawrence. They loved the Church and her people generously and we are invited to follow in this same tradition.

Now we have received the baton from those great souls. The work that they started is not yet fully accomplished. In this Year of Faith we gladly receive the mission to announce the Good News to those who have not yet heard it and to boast of Our Lord's unconditional love for us to those who have not yet relished it. The Lord of the harvest invites us to sow his words. As much as we sow so much do we reap.

Lord, be with us as we sow the seeds of Your Love: may these seeds bear fruit a thirty, sixty or even a hundred-fold.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
