The conversion of St Paul was and is still very significant in our Christian life. The Christians who knew Paul before his conversion could never have imagined that Jesus could have used him to spread the Good News. This miracle shows us that truly nothing is impossible for God. In St Paul's conversion, we see how God can transform us even if we are sinful. It is also a message to all of us that, no matter how unworthy of God's love we may feel, his unconditional love will bring us back to him, conquering our fears, strengthening our will so that we may wholeheartedly devote ourselves to the service of his Kingdom.

Paul could have chosen not to follow Jesus' command as he appeared to him on the way to Damascus. However, he trustingly followed the call. This trust is what allows us to find God's grace. In the Gospel, Jesus explains the rewards of those who respond to his call: "They will pick up serpents (with their hands), and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." (Mark 16:18).

Lord Jesus, transform us, strengthen us, make our lives more meaningful and send us to Your people.

Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
