"It is my choice to die at the hands of mortals with the hope that God will restore me to life": thus exclaims the mother, who witnessed her seven sons being martyred. We too draw from her courage, for we, Christians, are a people with hope and the promise of life after death. For us, the struggles of today, though real, are momentary.

The six Jesuits and their co-workers, who were martyred in El Salvador, took courage from our Lord's resurrection and gave their lives to empower the oppressed poor. We too are called everyday to enact the salvific act of Passion-Death-Resurrection for the sake of the less-privileged and the needy. Even parents who give their everything for their children, experience resurrection when they see them grow up to be loving messengers of our faith.

Lord, help us to live a life that is holy.Lord, we pray for strength to bear the daily crosses joyfully and that we may thus radiate Your unconditional love to all.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That priests who experience difficulties may find comfort in their suffering, support in their doubts, and confirmation in their fidelity.
