Therese was canonized by the Church a few years after her death: this shows us a new yet ordinary way to approach, love and follow God. Her specific way is to do little things with great love. For instance, she believes that she would save a soul from purgatory by picking up a needle from the ground. What a faith and love she had! Through her, we have learned that what matters to God is not what we do, but how we do things; not what we have, but who we are. God, who is the almighty, does not need anything from us. All things are created out of pure love and to share God's unconditional love. That is why whether we love him in return or not does not change the way God loves us and the love he has for us. What changes if we love God is that we see the world with love, hope and faith and we become children of God. This is one of the key messages which Therese has tried to communicate to us.

Lord, help us to do little things with great love just as Saint Therese of the Child Jesus did.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.

PRAYING WITH THE CHURCH
INTENTION
That those feeling so crushed by life that they wish to end it may sense the nearness of God's love.
