In our day to day life, faith is often put to test and doubt, especially when God seems so silent after we repeatedly pray to him for our great and urgent needs. The questions which frequently run through our mind are: "Does God really exist? If he does, does he love us? If he does, why does he allow this happen to me or why does he not save me or spare me from this suffering?" These questions precisely show us that lack of faith is not only doubting God's existence, but also questioning God's infinite love and omnipotence. The cure to our doubt is written in today's gospel: our Lord has already foretold us that we will suffer in this world, but we would be at peace if we remain in him. When we suffer, he suffers with us for he is the suffering God, yet we still can put our hope and trust in Him for he has conquered the world and death. Our suffering has an end as did his suffering, but our joy will never end as long as we remain in him and he in us.

Lord, increase our faith in You!

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
