"Let no one boast about human leaders".

A pastor once asked his people the name of the 7th President of America. The whole crowd was dumbstruck. Then he asked, "What was the name of your music teacher when you were in grade 3?" Almost everyone in the congregation put up their hands. The people who touch our hearts, form our conscience and teach us the ways of the Lord, are the "small" people who live with us and influence us.

This is also the mystery of Jesus' incarnation. Jesus chose to be close to the fishermen, tax collectors and the sick. Yet none in human history has influenced history so much as Jesus did. He did it because he chose to be born "small" and to eat, live and work with the small.

Lord, give us the grace to be happy being small and joyful while sharing Your love.

DAILY OFFERING
Eternal Father, I offer You everything I do this day; my thoughts, words, joys and sufferings. Grant that, vivified by the Holy Spirit and united to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my life this day may be of service to You and to others. I also pray that all those preparing for marriage discover in Sacrament the source of Christ's grace for living a fithful and fruitful love. Amen.
